6 Tips and Tricks to Make Your Interior Stand Out

When it comes to making a house feel like a home there's more than meets the eye.

In fact, there are many factors to consider, from choosing paint, lighting, furniture placement, and décor, Interior designers are invaluable in those situations.

Whether you’re redecorating your home, or entirely designing a new one, here are 6 tips and tricks that’ll help.

1-Seek design inspiration for a mood board, but make sure to keep your home your own

  • Gather images from magazines, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.... to revitalize your interiors... but remember, it’s your home, there are no rights nor wrongs. Everyone can design their own home.
  • A strong collection will help you achieve the look you want. Creating a mood board lets you tap into your subconscious design inspiration.

2- Consider different colors and fabrics. Make sure to try them before you purchase

  • Start selecting colors for your furniture, paint, wallpaper, blinds, and curtains. The third color may be used in paintings, bed quilts, tablecloths, pillows, and lampshades.
  • Purchase sample paint pots because colors can change depending on the lighting. To see how natural light affects the shade, paint at least A2 sized paint patches on the lightest and darkest walls in the same space.
  • Because white paint changes so much depending on the light, this method is especially useful for locating the best white paint.
  • The same is true for wallpaper; tape samples to the walls, drape sizable returnable samples over existing furniture, or pin them to existing curtains and blinds. Step back and give it a look.

3- Transform old to new

  • It's simpler to start with a blank canvas, but more frequently we must work with existing sofas, rugs, etc. See if you can use the colors in the rug by carefully examining it. Perhaps you could reupholster your old favorite couch to give it new life? Choose whether you prefer patterns or plainness, tradition, or modernity, and consider a color wheel or nature itself to see what hues complement one another. Using pinks and reds with greens, orange with duck egg, and yellows with blue and grey are a few examples.

4- Measure the furniture

  • Select the pieces of furniture you want for your room. Consider scale; a large sofa and footstool are required in a large room. Most interior designers advise having one large statement piece in even small spaces, even if it is just a headboard in a bedroom. A pleasing living space will be produced by a balance of large and small pieces.

5- Examine the appearance now and take your time to apply new ideas

  • Collecting pieces will allow you to buy items you've fallen in love with as you come across them. When you need something, you can take your time analyzing the style and color scheme of your room with accessories rather than simply settling for what is offered in specific stores or online. Your understanding of interior design will grow as you spend more time incorporating items into your home and learn what complements particular features the best.

6- Consider Home Décor:

  • Many people ask the question: Why is home décor important? Well, the fact that many people define themselves in part by the place they live explains why we do things like decorate our homes and maintain our lawns. However, they are a part of the public façade people put on, showing their home as an extension of who they are. These large patches of vegetation serve little practical purpose. Decorating your home with textiles, vases, statues, human figures, sculptures, and other art accessories will add color, character, and identity to your interior designs, making your home about you. Whether used in richness or as minimalist touches experts argue that Home Décor increases the perceived value of your house?
